Tonight’s Floodlit Challenge saw competitors team up to play in a combined stableford format where both the individual scores were added together to give a team total at the end. This meant that every hole counted and it would be consistency that would be the winning formula come the end of play. With a last chance for some competitive practice before the Club Championships at the weekend we saw a full field take on the floodlit nine with a last ditch attempt to find some form. With a very tight final leaderboard and only one point separating the top 3 it was the duo of Tony Gibney and Eddie O’Neil who prevailed with a total of 36 points to take the night’s top prize after both having individual scores of 18. Second place went to the team of Gregg Harris and Annie Robin who also finished with a team total of 36 points but unfortunately lost to the winners on a card play-off. One point back on 35 points were the couple of Angelo and Rae Kondes who couldn’t quite do enough and had to settle for third position. The two nearest the Pin prizes were picked up by Jah Koh on Hole 4 and Karen Mallinson on Hole 7. There were no Twos tonight which means 170DHS will be rolled over to next week.
