With day one of the Ladies Open cancelled due to storms and high winds it was superb young talent Sana Tufail who put it all behind her to come out fighting after the storm putting together an impressive 18 hole total of 77 to claim the 5th RAK Ladies Open at Al Hamra. Her playing partners pushed her all the way playing some brilliant golf resulting in all three players featuring in the prizes. Last years winners Nasha Sarkari put up a brilliant defense of her title coming second, one shot behind Tufail, after a 78 gross and in third was the long hitting Lindsay Brown with 79. In the Net division it was two of the Al Hamra ladies, Cindy Rials (3rd) and Lesley Mullen (2nd) that thought they were in for a chance with brilliant net 74’s only to be out done by Sandra Grenet, in the second to last group, who rallied well to shot net 73 after receiving a 3 shot penalty on the 2nd hole!
