The third and penultimate event in the Summer Open Stableford Series again was well supported with golfers travelling from all over the UAE. The event, which has turned out to be a popular summer fixture at Al Hamra Golf Club saw competitors teeing of early in order to avoid the height of the August heat. The format for these events is individual stableford with the players battling to take one of the top 3 places on offer. This event saw a closer leaderboard then previous, with only a few points separating the prize winners. Carl Kruger certainly enjoyed the course and the conditions as he took the events handsome top prize with a great score of 37 points. This turned out to be just enough to beat second place Dave Martin, who finished on 35 points including a fantastic back 9 of 22 points Third Place went to Rudolph Wee who finished on 32 points, 5 back from the winner Carl. The last Summer Open Stableford Series event to be held at Al Hamra Golf Club will be on Friday 30th September and includes chef’s sumptuous buffet on completion of play.
