The second Open Stableford of the season saw absolutely perfect cool golfing conditions with an impressive field of competitors. With perfect weather and course conditions everyone expected the scoring to match as players battled it out over the championship course hoping to take one of the top prizes on offer. As the results began to come in, the quality of scoring meant that the Leaderboard ended up being very tight with only 3 points separating the top 3 places. The eventual winner and November Champion was Rita Engelbrecht, who carded a very impressive 40 points to beat second place Dan Blomstrand by 2 as he finished with 38. Third place went to Anthony Cashman who finished one back from second on 37. The two special events went to Rita Engelbrecht who had nearest the pin on the 4th hole and Husam Al Sayed who had nearest the pin on the 11th.The next major event to be held at Al Hamra Golf Club will be the National Day Open. This will be a 2 day event with rounds at both Tower Links and Al Hamra on the 2nd and 3rd November.
