Since today was officially Australia Day, there wouldn’t be a more suitable time to play an Ambrose Scramble than tonight. The format for this was a team of 3 or 4 scramble and included each player having to get at least 2 drives on the card to count. This meant that tee shot selection could turn out to be very important for any team wishing to take the top floodlit prize and enjoy the Aussie BBQ with a happy grin on their face. This pleasure went to the team of Blair Smith, Hermes Frare, Steve Dunnage and Simon Dunne who posted a very impressive 27.75 enough to earn them the top place tonight. Close behind in second was the team of Steve Rayment, Ivan Kreamer, Simon Mees and Andrew Pilfold who posted a not too shabby 28.64 which included a costly bogey on the last hole. The two nearest the pin prizes went to Donnie Rials on both Hole No.4 and Blair Smith on Hole No. 7.
