Greenkeeper’s Revenge Deals Out The Punishment
PublishDate : 5/31/2012 12:00:00 AM

Tonight saw the final floodlit challenge of the winter season take place under very humid conditions as the summer begins to creep in and temperatures crank up. Since it was the last event of the season the Greenkeeper’s had their chance to get revenge on the golfers in a Greenkeeper’s Revenge format, meaning that Blair Smith and his team had their choice of tee and flag positions. With a promise of a free drink on offer for anyone who scored 18 points or more it would appear that the challenge was going to be incredibly hard with some crazy pin positions, some no more than a foot from the edge of the green. This certainly turned out to be the case as tonight’s winner Dewald Lubbe only managed to card 14 points over the nine holes, and although he didn’t win a free drink he did however pick up the top prize on the night. Second place and three points behind with 11 was Sultan Al Ali who couldn’t quite gain enough points around the floodlit nine tonight to take the much wanted top prize. Both the nearest the pin prizes on holes number four and seven were picked up by Karen Mallinson who obviously managed to hold her nerve when hitting into the tough pins. There were no two’s tonight which will mean 180DHS will be carried over to next week’s floodlit challenge.
